Whether you’re looking to build on a skill or gain new experience, SIOP offers a variety of volunteer opportunities that offer professional development and personal growth.
The SIOP Annual Conference is a great way to meet colleagues working in I-O psychology. If you volunteered for the Ambassador Program, you can leverage the connections made there to build lasting relationships that extend beyond the conference. Whether you’re seeking advice on career development, research collaboration, or navigating the I-O psychology landscape, the relationships fostered through the Ambassador Program can be a meaningful source of support and professional growth.
Although the annual conference is a great way to meet professionals in the field, you don’t have to register to get connected with colleagues. SIOP has several volunteer opportunities that extend throughout the year including:
- Running for SIOP Executive Board
- Serving on a SIOP Committee – the SIOP Volunteer System (SVS) opens in early May!
- Joining or organizing a local I-O group chapter
Volunteering with SIOP allows you to maximize the value of your membership. By engaging in these roles, you not only contribute to the growth of the I-O psychology community but also invest in your own professional development.
