Explore Ways to Upgrade Your Current Membership to the Next Level

Are you interested in maximizing the benefits of your SIOP membership? Discover opportunities to elevate your current Associate membership to the next level as a full Member.

In 2015, an amendment to the SIOP bylaws created a pathway for qualified Associates to apply for an upgrade to Member, adding immediate eligibility to:

• Vote in a SIOP election
• Hold a position as a Committee Chair
• Nominate candidates for Executive Board seats
• Hold a position on the Executive Board

Associates must meet the following criteria to upgrade to Member:

• Have paid status as an Associate for at least 3 of the past 5 years
• Be engaged in professional activities
• Have obtained a master’s degree that meets the criteria as established in policy by the Executive Board
• Have demonstrated by any combination of three official instances of engagement in the last 5 years, as measured by:
  • Registering for an SIOP Annual Conference, registering for a SIOP Leading Edge Consortium, or serving as a committee volunteer

Current Associates who meet these criteria are strongly encouraged to apply for an upgrade to Member. From March through June, request an upgrade through your Member Snapshot and upload a current resume or CV to complete your request.
