Keith McNulty is currently a Leader in Technology and Analytics at McKinsey & Company, where he oversees all digital and analytics work related to McKinsey’s employees, and consults McKinsey’s clients on issues related to digital and analytics in the human capital domain.
Keith has a 20-year history in people measurement and analytics. Until 2015, he led the implementation of structured assessment methodologies throughout McKinsey’s recruiting and development processes globally. Between 2015 and 2017 he began to experiment with new approaches to human capital analytics and trained himself in emerging data science methods, leading to the founding of McKinsey’s People Analytics and Measurement (PAM) team in 2017. Since 2017, Keith has led the PAM team through substantial growth to become one of the most recognized and technically advanced People Analytics practitioner teams today. Since 2024, Keith has also been responsible for all employee-related digital products and solutions at McKinsey.
Keith has published several textbooks on methodologies in People Analytics, including his Handbook of Regression Modeling and his Handbook of Graphs and Networks. He is also co-author with Alexis Fink of Using Data in Organizations, a chapter in the SIOP Leading Edge publication Data, Methods and Theory in the Organizational Sciences. He served on the editorial board for the recent special issue of Personnel Psychology focused on Machine Learning.
Keith holds a PhD in Pure Mathematics from Imperial College London.
